When renovating a boat, and this being your primary tool, you know you have a long way to go.

On your mark

Today the boat arrived to the workshop where I will be working on it for over the winter. The main project is a brand spanking new deck.

The baptism

In the end of the summer my boat sunk. The reason is still unclear, but it probably has something to do with the heavy amount of rain during that period in combination with a bilge pump that didn’t work because of a depleted battery. Maybe that’s what caused it. Nothing really serious happened, the worst is some original gauges that were beyond rescue and needs to be replaced. Other than that the oil has been changed a couple of times and some of the deck planks has to be replaced. But since that was one of this winter’s projects anyway I don’t take it to hard.
